The Apple company has introduced the new generation MacBook Pro 14-inch laptop with the Apple M5 chip, Rozetked reported. For now, only this diagonal model is being offered. The 16-inch version will, as usual, have Pro or Max chips and they are not ready yet.
The main innovation is the new computing platform. It features a 10-core CPU (4 efficient, 6 performance), a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. According to Cupertino, in terms of artificial intelligence, the M5 is 6 times faster than the M1 and 3.5 times faster than the M4.
In professional applications and games, graphics efficiency has increased by 60% compared to the M4, and CPU efficiency by 20%. Memory bandwidth has increased from 120 GB/s to 153 GB/s. Now, a 4 TB storage configuration is available as well.
Design, display, battery life, and connectivity features have not changed. In the USA, the base version of the MacBook Pro 14" (2025) is priced at $1599 (~20.5 million soum). Available colors: silver and black.
