Ban on Samsung smartphone sales requested in US

AQShda Samsung smartfonlarini sotishni taqiqlash talab qilindi

Another patent dispute related to the smartphone industry is escalating in the US. Lepton Computing LLC has filed a lawsuit against the South Korean manufacturer Samsung. Ixbt.com reports on this.

The lawsuit alleges that the company has been using foldable screen technologies without authorization.

This dispute concerns popular lines such as Galaxy Z Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, and even Galaxy Z TriFold. The plaintiff claims to hold key patents regarding the architecture of smartphones with flexible screens.

For this reason, financial compensation and royalty payments are being demanded from Samsung.

According to representatives of Lepton Computing, they discussed cooperation issues with Samsung Electronics in 2013. At that time, technological details and prototypes were presented to the Korean giant.

However, despite being aware of the existence of the patents, Samsung continued to manufacture devices in violation of them.

Currently, the plaintiff is seeking not only the recovery of funds but also a complete ban on the production and sale of all foldable devices. Experts assess this situation as another attempt carried out by patent trolls.
