Intel Core 5 320 processor outperforms Apple A18 Pro by 27 percent

Intel has introduced the new Intel Core 5 320 processor from the Wildcat Lake series, designed for budget laptops. According to independent test results on the PassMark platform, this chip is expected to become one of the most competitive developments in its segment. Ixbt.com reports this.
The new processor features a 6-core configuration, with only two cores dedicated to high performance while the rest handle energy efficiency. Nevertheless, it managed to score 15,222 points in multi-threaded tests.
This figure is 27 percent higher than Apple's A18 Pro chip installed in the MacBook Neo model.
Devices in the Wildcat Lake series are intended to compete with the MacBook Neo in the affordable laptop market. While Apple laptops are currently available for sale, the presentation of the first production models featuring the new Intel chips is scheduled to take place in one month at the Computex 2026 exhibition.
