Amazon customers can now engage in voice product Q&A

Amazon launched a new AI-powered feature on product pages on Tuesday. This system allows users to ask questions about goods and receive voice responses in real-time. Techcrunch.com reports on this.
The company is calling this "AI shopping experts."
The new "Join the Conversation" feature helps shoppers quickly find necessary information without having to read through long descriptions and numerous reviews. The system analyzes product features and feedback from other buyers to provide information in the form of a natural dialogue.
For example, buyers can ask whether a garment's fabric is itchy or if a coffee machine is suitable for beginners. Relying on previous answers and without repeating information, the AI assists like an in-store consultant.
This capability is part of the "Listen to Key Highlights" section available on millions of product pages in the "Amazon Shopping" app. Currently, the service is being tested in the US and applies only to selected products.
Users can listen to a brief summary or ask specific questions via text and voice by clicking a special button under the product image. This joins Amazon's suite of AI-based shopping tools, such as the "Rufus" assistant and "Help Me Decide."
