Realistic images of the upcoming "iPhone Ultra," a foldable smartphone, have surfaced, shared by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The device, depicted in a book-like form with a compact and wide frame, features a main internal display of approximately 7.7 inches and an external display of 5.3 inches. Experts suggest the images could either be genuine prototype photos or high-quality renders created using artificial intelligence. Additionally, Samsung Display is expected to begin producing screens for the iPhone Ultra in June 2026, with plans to manufacture up to 8 million units within the year.
Renowned Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has published three images of the first foldable smartphone, dubbed the iPhone Ultra, on the Weibo network. The frames depict a compact, book-style device with wide bezels. Ixbt.com reports on this.
The lighting, material textures, and body details in the images are very realistically executed. According to experts, these could be photos of an actual factory prototype or high-quality renders created using artificial intelligence.
The iPhone Ultra's internal screen is expected to be approximately 7.7 inches, while the external display is 5.3 inches. The main distinctive feature is that the volume control buttons are located at the top of the body.
The power button on the right side of the device is reportedly integrated with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. However, using the volume buttons with one hand when closed may cause some inconvenience.
