Samsung smartphones automatically block ads in push notifications

Samsung has updated its Device Care app, introducing the "Intelligent Blocking" feature. This innovation is designed to automatically restrict annoying spam and unwanted marketing notifications for users. As reported by Ixbt.com, reports .

Introduced in version 13.8.80.7 of Device Care, the system analyzes messages coming from apps. If an application sends an excessive number of promotional messages, the smartphone automatically puts it into "deep sleep" mode. As a result, the app loses the ability to send notifications.

Samsung experts acknowledge that the technology is not yet perfect. Algorithms may sometimes mistakenly identify useful messages as ads. Therefore, users are given the option to manually unblock apps through Device Care settings.

Currently, the Intelligent Blocking feature is only available on devices with the One UI 8.5 skin. This innovation will first be introduced on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra models. Although the new version can be installed via APK files, the global release is expected to take a few more weeks.
