US-based company Anthropic has taken the top spot among AI startups by market value, with its capitalization reaching nearly $965 billion. This growth is linked to the attraction of $65 billion in investments, which has significantly strengthened the company's competitive position in the AI sector. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
As a result, Anthropic has surpassed its main competitor, OpenAI. According to reports, OpenAI's current valuation is approximately $730 billion. Anthropic was founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees and has quickly become a key market player, emphasizing "ethical AI" and safety controls.
The company's first chatbot, Claude, was introduced in 2023 and became the foundation of its product line. Since then, Anthropic has been actively expanding its AI systems, focusing on the safe and controlled use of neural networks.
This week, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced that Anthropic, which is preparing for an IPO, has agreed to rent Colossus data center clusters to train its models. Although the initial agreement is for six months, Elon Musk noted that this period could be extended for several years.
Previously, an agreement was signed between SpaceX and Anthropic to utilize the computing power of the Colossus and Colossus II clusters located in Memphis, Tennessee. According to the deal, Anthropic is expected to make monthly payments of $1.25 billion until May 2029.
