Air quality in Tashkent now rated as “moderate”
Air quality in Tashkent has improved, Nova24.uz reported. However, on April 23, the concentration of PM2.5 particles reached 29 µg/m³ — 5.8 times higher than the WHO recommended limit, according to IQAir data.

As of 08:00, ozone and PM10 levels in Tashkent remained within acceptable limits. Still, the PM2.5 concentration significantly exceeded WHO guidelines.

Despite this, overall air quality was rated as “moderate,” indicating that while PM2.5 levels were high, other pollutants stayed within safe boundaries.

For reference, the 2024 report from Swiss company IQAir did not include Uzbekistan in the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards.
