At least 58 schools will be built in Uzbekistan based on modern standards
The presidential decree “On measures to implement the project to improve the quality and efficiency of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan” states that the goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of education in Uzbekistan by attracting funds in the amount of 200.25 million US dollars from the Islamic Development Bank, the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development and the Global Partnership for Education.

In 2025-2029, it is planned to reduce the queueing coefficient in the sector by building at least 58 schools based on modern standards and creating more than 72 thousand additional educational places. It is planned to create inclusive educational conditions for at least 500 students with disabilities.

Based on the proposal of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city khokimiyats, changes may be made to the number and capacity of new schools to be built.

It is also planned to bring state educational standards and curricula into line with international requirements, introduce competency-based education principles, and organize laboratory classes in accordance with STEM standards. The professional development of 36 thousand teachers will be ensured based on international requirements and approaches, and the “blended learning” model of advanced training will be introduced.
