Shavkat Mirziyoyev: "There is no longer a problem with raw materials in jewelry" - new centers will be opened
Under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference meeting was launched to discuss future priority tasks in developing local industry. One of the main directions of the meeting was transforming the jewelry sector into a modern and competitive system.

International model — implemented locally

As the President emphasized, based on international experience, new-format jewelry centers have already been launched in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent, as well as in Andijan and Khiva. These centers provide an attractive environment not only for producers but also for investors.

6 more centers — within this year

During the meeting, officials were instructed to establish at least 6 more modern centers in various regions this year. These centers will house raw materials, laboratories, training centers, showrooms, and retail spaces in one location. In addition, foreign designers and technologists will be invited to organize special training courses for local jewelers.

President’s firm words: “Let everyone hear!”

During the meeting, the President firmly stated:

“Let everyone hear this. Jewelers must have no problems with raw materials.”

To that end, the volume of gold released to the exchange will be increased from 6 to 8 tons.

Gold reserves — based on regional needs

In Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand, and Fergana regions — where jewelry centers are planned to open this year — as well as in other regions, gold reserves will be created. Each center will be supplied with raw materials according to its local demand.

Conclusion: jewelry industry — on the verge of a new era

The announced reforms mark a new phase for Uzbekistan’s jewelry industry. The clear directives from the President will create conditions that strengthen the sector’s role not only in the domestic market but also enhance its export potential. In the near future, we may see jewelry with the label “Made in Uzbekistan” not only in our country but also in global markets.
