This initiative is aimed at further bringing narcology services closer to the population, strengthening preventive efforts, and softening the attitude toward this painful problem. Now, citizens can receive anonymous consultations by phone without going to a narcology institution and while keeping their personal information confidential.
Those who contact the helpline can receive consultation from specialists on the following issues:
- Early signs that correspond to drug addiction;
- How one can end up in this trouble;
- What to do if a family member or close person shows suspicious changes in behavior;
- What preventive measures to take and what kind of help to offer.
Confidentiality is fully guaranteed. All information, conversations, and personal interactions are kept secret. This service is considered an important step not only for treatment but also for saving human lives.
This project is an important tool in the fight against drug addiction and is regarded as the first step toward open discussion of this issue in society. It also promotes a tolerant and humane approach to people in need of psychological support.
