Quarrelsome families are regularly monitored every 3 days

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, a new procedure is being introduced to promptly identify family disputes and prevent legal violations. According to the Presidential decree on August 18 of this year, in neighborhoods with a high risk of crime, a practice will be implemented to receive updates on the status of “conflict-prone and quarrelsome” families every 3 days.

Under the new procedure, employees of internal affairs bodies and citizens who are part of the “Mahalla Yettiligi” will continuously monitor households where family disputes may occur. In neighborhoods, public groups called “mahalla promoters” will be established to assist families and prevent conflicts.

According to the decree, neighborhoods with a high risk of crime will be fully connected to video surveillance systems, “panic buttons” will be installed, and “Model Safe House” and “Model Safe Street” projects will be implemented. These measures aim to increase public safety, reduce family disputes, and ensure a stable environment in society.
