Uzbekistan updates tariffs for foreign heavy trucks

Uzbekistan has revised tariffs for foreign heavy and oversized trucks traveling across its territory. This was reported by Kursiv.media.

Under the new rules, charges depend on how much the truck exceeds the allowed weight. For example, an extra 5 tons costs 330 soums per km, 20 tons — 1,730 soums, and over 50 tons — 17,386 soums per km.

The government also updated the process in the “License” system for reviewing applications and approving routes. The first 100 km cost 222,480 soums, while every additional km is charged at 989 soums.

Previously, the tariffs were fixed in US dollars — $25 for the first 100 km and $0.11 for each subsequent km. The shift to local currency makes the payment system more transparent and predictable.
