The reputable Ukrainian magazine Kyiv Diplomatic published an analytical article titled “Uzbekistan is becoming an international tourism center.” The article extensively highlights the rapid growth of foreign tourism in our country and the measures implemented by the government in this field.
According to the publication, simplification of visa procedures, expansion of flight geography, strengthening of cooperation with neighboring states, removal of various administrative restrictions, as well as people’s thirst for new experiences after the pandemic, have given a strong impetus to the development of tourism.
The magazine reports that in 2024, the number of foreign visitors to Uzbekistan exceeded 5.7 million. This was one of the highest figures recorded in recent years.
It is noted in the article that tens of thousands of tourists from the European Union countries and the United States visited the country. This trend is primarily the result of the government’s consistent policy to develop tourism infrastructure. The construction of new hotels, improvement of the transport system, and organization of international cultural events and festivals are making the tourism sector more attractive.
Thus, according to international experts, Uzbekistan is steadily moving towards becoming a major tourism hub not only in Central Asia but also globally.
