Another important step has been taken in the education system of our country - a presidential decree "On the establishment of the Almalyk State Technical Institute" has been signed.
According to the decree, a full-fledged Almalyk State Technical Institute will be established on the basis of the Almalyk branch of Tashkent State Technical University. This will not only improve the quality of education in the city, but also open new opportunities for students.
According to the data, all students currently continuing their studies at the branch will continue their education at the institute. At the same time, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, graduating students will be awarded a full-fledged institute diploma. This will further expand their future activities and opportunities in the labor market.
Also, senior students of the institute will be involved in paid internships. Thanks to this, young people will have the opportunity to learn not only theory, but also practical knowledge and skills.
An advanced engineering school specializing in geology, metallurgy, and engineering - "GeoMetTex" - will also be established at the new educational institution. Talented students with high academic performance are selected for this school and receive education based on special practice-oriented programs.
At the same time, industry partners will be identified within the framework of "GeoMetTex." In cooperation with them, it is planned to create modern laboratories and make the process of obtaining technical and technological knowledge more effective.
This decision is expected to give a great impetus to the development of the education system in Almalyk and play an important role in training a generation of young engineers.
