An important diplomatic meeting was held within the framework of the anniversary session of the UN General Assembly. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a productive dialogue with King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of Jordan. At the meeting, issues of further strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and bringing cooperation in the economic and political spheres to a new level were considered.
During the conversation, the implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit of the King of Jordan to Uzbekistan in August of this year was discussed in detail. It was emphasized that the results of this visit have raised bilateral relations to a new level and created a solid foundation for cooperation in strategic areas.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Jordan emphasized the need to define specific measures for realizing opportunities in trade, investment, and technology. In particular, special attention was paid to the acceleration of priority investment projects implemented with the participation of leading companies. Following this, new forms of partnership in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and transport and logistics are expected.
At the meeting, it was noted that close cooperation between the two states, both in the political and economic spheres, is of great importance not only for the countries themselves, but also for stability and development in the region as a whole.
At the end of the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Abdullah II expressed their firm intention to further develop relations between the two states, strengthen practical cooperation, and implement joint initiatives.
Undoubtedly, this meeting will become significant as it opens a new page in relations between Uzbekistan and Jordan, paving the way for many projects that serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
