On September 23, at the UN headquarters, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the USA Donald Trump. In a brief conversation, Trump praised the $105 billion agreements signed between Uzbek and US companies. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that Trump is worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize and invited him to Samarkand. Kun.uz presents the full translation of the conversation in Uzbek.
US President Donald Trump: Well, thank you very much. It is a great honor for me to be with the President of Uzbekistan. He is a very respected person. It has been operating in Uzbekistan for a long time, for many years, right? About 15 or 16 years. This is a long time. The reason for staying in one country for so long is that you are very smart and worthy. Therefore, I want to thank you for being with us. You know, he made a large purchase of various American products. They have a lot of money. They have plenty of oil and money. Oil usually goes hand in hand with money. But as a country, they achieved very good results, and it truly became a good leader. It is an honor for me to be with you again. Thank you very much.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Thank you. First of all, thank you very much for what you say and what you do, Mr. President. You said you would meet today - and here we are. I am very grateful to you for this. I congratulate you on your profound report at the United Nations session this morning. This was simply unbelievable, you clarified all the issues.
Of course, you are doing everything we agreed upon during our telephone conversation. I want to congratulate you once again on ending those seven conflicts. In particular, you have found a solution to the most important issue for our region - the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
I repeat once again: you deserve the Nobel Prize more than anyone else. We have said this and will continue to do so. Therefore, all the issues we have agreed upon are being implemented and will be implemented. I would like to continue our dialogue. Thank you very much for creating such a program that we will promote together. I am grateful to you for this.

Donald Trump: Well, thank you very much. You know, the president will deliver a speech in about five minutes. He must be there, and I want to watch him. Therefore, if you wish, we can conduct a short question-and-answer session, and we will conduct it quickly. But it was a great honor for me to be with you. And now I want you to go and give a wonderful speech.
A reporter from a US media outlet is asking Trump: Mr. President, Ryan Ruth, who intended to assassinate you, has just been found guilty. How do you feel about this?
Donald Trump: I am very grateful for the justice shown and for how Pem Bondi, Todd Blanche, and others, their team, conducted the case. This was really done well, and it is very important. Such things cannot be allowed. This cannot be allowed to happen to the president or even to an ordinary person. So, justice has prevailed, and we'll see what happens. But I express my gratitude to the judge, the jury, and all the participants. This was done very professionally, and this is a great honor. Great honor.
A reporter from another US media outlet asked Trump: Mr. President, could you tell us a little about your meeting with Muslim and Arab leaders this afternoon to discuss the post-war plan for Gaza?
Donald Trump: This will be a big meeting. This is a very important meeting. But now an important meeting is happening for me too, because he bought our equipment worth billions of dollars. And we produce the best equipment in the world. Therefore, we will ensure that this equipment is perfect for you.
A US media correspondent is asking Trump: Mr. President, will additional agreements be signed with Uzbekistan?
Donald Trump: Yes, that's right. We are talking about a couple of very large deals. Today, in the last few days, he has already made several major deals. But our relationship was good, and we had met before. Our relationship is truly wonderful. He is a very authoritative person and a leader.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Look here. If in 2018-2024 [trade between Uzbekistan and the USA] was $19 billion, then in 2025-2035 it will be $105 billion.
Donald Trump: $105 billion. That's not bad! It's worth a five-minute meeting, right? Do you agree with me?
Look, look, this is amazing - tractors, various products, a total of 105 billion dollars. So, in 2018-2024, it made purchases worth 19.4 billion dollars, and now [Uzbekistan] is making purchases worth 105 billion dollars. You know, I thought less when I met him. Any amount exceeding one billion... So, if it reaches 105 billion, I'll meet with him 15 or 20 times [just kidding - ed.] You go and deliver your wonderful speech.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Thank you very much. I will still wait for you in Uzbekistan. It should be the first visit. On the first trip, you promised to come to Samarkand. We are waiting for you. Please, you need to visit Samarkand.
Donald Trump: I liked it. I'll gladly think about it. Thank you.
A truly amazing activity, a wonderful group of people. A very smart country, and they have really achieved good results. I appreciate your purchase from America. Thank you, we support you.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev: The conversation was very pleasant, thank you very much.
