President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on a working visit on October 9. At the Dushanbe International Airport, the head of our state was warmly welcomed by the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda, and a number of officials.
In accordance with the program of the visit, the Leader of Uzbekistan will take part in the second summit of the "Central Asia - Russia" format, as well as in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS. The agenda includes the consideration of issues of further deepening regional cooperation, expanding trade and economic ties, strengthening interaction in the field of transport and logistics corridors, water and energy, industrial cooperation, security and humanitarian spheres.
It is expected that bilateral and multilateral dialogues will be held within the framework of the summits, and new areas of practical cooperation will be discussed. The visit is noteworthy for its contribution to maintaining peace, sustainable development, and open economic ties in the region.
