On October 16-17 of this year, the 57th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States and the 21st meeting of the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of the CIS Member States will be held in Samarkand.
The heads of the special services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan will participate in the meetings.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Anti-Terrorist Center of the CIS member states will also take part in the events.
The main goal of the conferences is to strengthen cooperation in the field of ensuring security in the Commonwealth space, including combating international terrorism and extremism, transnational organized crime, threats to information security, as well as illicit international trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
During the meetings, a wide range of issues related to modern challenges and coordination of bilateral actions are expected to be considered.
Following the negotiations, the heads of the delegations will define specific tasks and areas of cooperation in the field of ensuring regional and global security.
