An unexpected situation was recorded regarding the district (city) stage of the mathematics olympiad. Information appeared on social networks that the olympiad questions had spread across the country before the competition began. This incident sparked wide public discussion, the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions reported.
According to the report, the questions were prepared by the Center for Subject Olympiads with the participation of special working groups and printed in a centralized manner in each region. However, in some areas, during the printing process, certain responsible employees violated the procedure, and the materials were illegally taken and distributed outside the institutions.
According to the agency’s official statement, some employees took samples of the questions and shared them through social networks or messaging platforms. Since this situation could affect the competition results, it was decided to re-hold the district (city) stage of the mathematics olympiad for all classes — 9th, 10th, and 11th grades.
