The global passport ranking has been updated, reports Henley & Partners. According to the results of the study, Uzbekistan’s passport ranks 82nd based on the number of countries accessible without a visa. This means that citizens of Uzbekistan can travel visa-free to 61 countries.
Among Central Asian nations, Kazakhstan holds the highest position — 67th place. Kazakh citizens can travel freely to 78 countries. Kyrgyzstan ranks 81st (62 countries), Uzbekistan 82nd (61), Tajikistan 87th (55), and Turkmenistan 93rd (48).
Globally, Singapore retains its leading position — its citizens can enter 193 out of 227 countries without a visa. It is followed by South Korea (190 countries) and Japan (189 countries).
For the first time, the United States has dropped out of the top ten, falling to 12th place, which it now shares with Malaysia. Russia also lost ground, dropping to 50th place.
Analysts from Henley Passport Index note that in recent years, Asian countries have been strengthening their leadership in the list of “the world’s most powerful passports.” This is attributed to growing economic stability and expanding international cooperation.
