Heads of intelligence services of the CIS countries will meet in Samarkand

On October 17 of this year, the 21st meeting of the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states will begin its work in Samarkand.

The event, held for the first time in the country, will be attended by the heads of security agencies and intelligence services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The meeting will be chaired by the head of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan, Colonel General B. Kurbanov.

At the event, participants will exchange views on modern challenges and threats, and discuss future tasks for strengthening cooperation between intelligence services of the CIS countries.

The venue and agenda of the event were determined at the 20th anniversary meeting held on November 26, 2024, in Moscow.

Following the meeting, the heads of delegations will define specific tasks and priorities for cooperation in ensuring regional security.
