New stage in tourism: Uzbekistan aims to attract nearly 25 million foreign tourists

Uzbekistan’s tourism sector is entering a new stage of development. According to official data, by 2030 the number of foreign tourists visiting the country may reach 25 million, while domestic tourists could reach 50 million.

To achieve this goal, the country’s tourism infrastructure has been rapidly modernized in recent years. In particular, new international airports have been built, bringing their total number to 18. Additionally, seven more airports are currently being renovated to meet modern standards.

Due to the growing flow of tourists, a new international airport is also planned to be built in Tashkent region. The project is being implemented based on the recommendations of leading foreign experts and public opinion.

Currently, 51 airlines from countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Korea, China, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Russia, and Poland operate regular flights to Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the purchase of 22 modern Boeing aircraft from the United States will help connect Uzbekistan with Southeast Asia, Europe, and America, creating new opportunities for travelers and businesses.

Modernization of the transportation system is also giving a major boost to tourism. New high-speed electric trains and electric buses are being introduced across the country. Bus fleets are being renewed, and roadside infrastructure is being improved along tourist routes that reach even remote areas.

Experts believe that these changes will not only increase tourism potential but also make Uzbekistan one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Central Asia.

By 2030, the share of tourism in the national economy is expected to grow significantly. At the same time, new jobs will be created and local communities will benefit from expanded opportunities in the service sector.

Today, Uzbekistan is ready to welcome international guests not only with its rich history and culture but also with modern tourism infrastructure.
