According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-August of this year, 287.7 thousand foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for commercial purposes.
This indicator increased almost threefold compared to the same period last year, that is, by 190.3 thousand people.
It is reported that the largest number of visitors were citizens of Afghanistan, their number was 267,879. At the same time, citizens of the following countries also arrived for commercial purposes:
Tajikistan - 14,648 people,
Turkmenistan - 2,235 people,
Russia - 585 people,
Turkey - 392 people,
Kazakhstan - 373 people,
Other countries - 1,635 people.
Thus, it is noted that interest in the commercial market in Uzbekistan has increased at a high level, and the economic activity of foreign citizens is growing.
