In Uzbekistan, the level of wages is growing significantly. According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, the average monthly nominal wage across the country was 6 million 166.9 thousand soums. This figure is 19.2% higher than in the same period last year.

By region, the highest salary was traditionally recorded in Tashkent - employees working in the capital received an average of 10 million 379.6 thousand soums. This is 18.7% more than in 2024.

At the same time, some regions were noted as leaders in terms of wage growth rates. In particular, the average salary in the Samarkand region reached 4.8 million soums, an increase of 124.8 percent. An increase of 120.9% was observed in Namangan, 120.7% in Syrdarya, 119.8% in Fergana, and 119.2% in Jizzakh.

The lowest growth rates were observed in Andijan (112.0%), Navoi (115.1%), Kashkadarya (117.2%), Tashkent (117.3%), Khorezm and Karakalpakstan (117.6%) and Bukhara (118.2%) regions.

Analysis by sector

Analysis by type of economic activity more clearly shows the structure of wages in the country. The highest salaries were recorded in the banking, insurance, leasing, and credit sectors - an average of 16 million 828.9 thousand soums. This is 15.6% more than last year.

Also, the average salary in the field of information and communications amounted to 14 million 985.8 thousand soums and increased by 16.6 percent. In the transportation and storage sector - 9 million 382.1 thousand soums (growth by 16.7%), in the industrial sector - 7 million 301.0 thousand soums (growth by 16.3%).

In the construction sector, the average salary was 6 million 342.6 thousand soums, an increase of 9.2 percent. In the trade sector, this figure was set at 6 million 875.6 thousand soums (growth of 12.1%), and in the healthcare and social services sector - 3 million 765.4 thousand soums (growth of 14.6%).

Five-year dynamics

Over the past five years, wages in Uzbekistan have continued to rise steadily. In particular, wages in the banking, insurance, and leasing sectors increased sharply - compared to 2021, this figure increased by 9 million 92 thousand soums.

A positive trend was also observed in the field of information and communications - wages increased by 9.7 million soums. In the transportation and storage sector, this indicator increased by 5.5 million soums, in industry - by 3.4 million soums, and in construction - by 2.7 million soums.

Experts note that this growth is explained by active investments in the country's economy, the creation of new jobs, and increased competition in the labor market. As a result of economic reforms, the wage gap in various sectors is gradually decreasing.
