Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, received a high-level delegation led by Sergio Gore, Special Representative of the US President for South and Central Asia, and Christopher Landau, Deputy Secretary of State. Saida Mirziyoyeva announced this on her Telegram channel. During the conversation, issues of further development of mutual trust, open dialogue, and strategic partnership between the two countries were discussed.
During the meeting, representatives of the American administration highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev over the past 8 years. They especially noted the dynamics of transformations in the country, the development of openness in the economic sphere and an active civic spirit in society.
As Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized, such dialogues are important for further expanding the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries and laying the foundation for new projects. "We attached great importance to the new opportunities opening up in the field of trade between our countries. We also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the field of public safety and the development of human capital," Mirziyoyeva wrote in a statement following the meeting.
During the meeting, prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of education, culture, and economics were also discussed. Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that Uzbekistan, through its policy of openness, is expanding active cooperation with the international community and will continue to involve many partners in this process.
Representatives of the American delegation also expressed their readiness to support the socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan. It was noted that the US government has expressed interest in participating in projects to improve the business environment in the country, create new opportunities for youth and women, and bring the education system closer to international standards.
Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized: "Such dialogues are not only diplomatic, but also create an opportunity for our peoples to better understand each other and exchange experience. This, in turn, will give impetus to new ideas and projects."
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand practical cooperation. Saida Mirziyoyeva assessed this cooperation as "an important step towards reaching a new level."
