The international hotel chain Radisson Hotel Group and MANAR Development company announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to open a new hotel in the center of Tashkent. This hotel will be part of the multifunctional complex called Chorsu MANAR.
This complex is being built in an important area for the capital, on the site where the "Chorsu" hotel was previously located. The Chorsu MANAR project involves large-scale redevelopment of the urban area.
On a territory with a total area of more than 100 thousand square meters, there will be hotel rooms, offices, residential apartments, as well as a modern shopping and entertainment cluster. It is planned to invest more than 100 million dollars in this project.
According to MANAR Development CEO Davron Fayzimatov, the company held negotiations with several international hotel operators. The Radisson brand was chosen due to the optimal ratio between the quality of its services and price.
Fayzimatov emphasized that the hotel under the Radisson brand will be the key element of the Chorsu MANAR complex, making it even more attractive as a world-class site. He also added that the complex will become a new symbolic architectural ensemble for the city and offer high-level services and developed infrastructure.
The new hotel will occupy 14 floors of the main building of the complex. The project envisions a separate entrance for guests, a two-story parking lot, and all the necessary infrastructure corresponding to four-star hotel standards.
The agreement between Radisson Hotel Group and MANAR Development outlines several key areas of cooperation. These include the integration of the hotel into the complex, introduction of international standards in hotel services and management, and collaboration to increase the investment and tourism attractiveness of the facility.
Radisson Hotel Group Vice President for Business Development David Jenkins emphasized the company's long-standing interest in this location. According to him, the Chorsu MANAR project fully meets the company's criteria in terms of its scale, status, and potential.
Jenkins also noted that cooperation with MANAR Development began within the framework of a tender for the project. It was noted that the “Chorsu” hotel was built in 1982 and was initially called “Moscow.”
The 23-story building was one of Tashkent's architectural symbols for a long time, but at the beginning of the 2000s, it was closed for reconstruction, with restoration works never being carried out.
