The largest number of marriages in Uzbekistan was recorded in Samarkand region

In Uzbekistan, during January–September 2025, 177,000 marriages were officially registered, reported the National Statistics Committee.

According to the data, the largest number of marriages was recorded in the Samarkand region — 21.2 thousand. The Fergana region ranked second (19.4 thousand), followed by the Kashkadarya region (17.7 thousand).

In Tashkent city, 16.9 thousand marriages were registered during this period, 14.9 thousand in Andijan, and 14 thousand in the Surkhandarya region.

The lowest numbers were recorded in the Syrdarya (4.5 thousand) and Navoi (5.5 thousand) regions.

Analysts note that the number of marriages is linked to population density, economic activity, and demographic indicators of the regions. At the same time, statistics indicate a steady increase in the number of new families.
