Over the past week, many people in Uzbekistan have reported problems accessing the YouTube app on Smart TVs. This was reported by the unofficial consumers' community called "Iste'molchi.Uz."
Numerous requests and complaints on social networks, as well as an increased number of calls to service technicians, confirm the seriousness of this problem. According to experts, this issue is related to unofficial versions of the software.
According to their information, the main malfunction is observed on televisions running the Android TV operating system where modified (unlicensed) YouTube apps are installed. Such problems have not been detected on licensed platforms like Tizen or Web OS.
To restore access to the video hosting, users are forced to reinstall the non-working app several times. However, this is only a temporary solution, and the problem may reappear.
