On November 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of his working visit to Washington, D.C., held a meeting with President of the United States of America Donald Trump at the White House.

The President of our country first left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests of the White House.

Then, in the Oval Room, the leaders held talks. Issues of further development of Uzbek-American relations of strategic partnership, strengthening of political dialogue, expansion of trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were considered.

Special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in New York in September of this year.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of the global and regional agenda, including the deepening of cooperation between Central Asia and the USA in the "C5+1" format.

The Head of our state sincerely congratulated Donald Trump on his high achievements in domestic and foreign policy. His personal contribution and efforts to the peaceful settlement of acute international and regional conflicts were especially noted.

Donald Trump welcomed the fruitful meetings and negotiations held these days by the leader of Uzbekistan with representatives of the US government, heads of large companies and financial institutions.

The leaders noted the importance of creating and improving institutional mechanisms for promoting joint projects.

At the end of the meeting, the head of our state invited the US leader to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan at a time convenient for him.
