
Following the business program of the working visit to Washington, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of leading American companies, investment funds and financial institutions.

The event was attended by US Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnick, Special Assistant to the President Ricky Gil, Special Representative of the President Paolo Zampolli, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Steven Vaden, as well as heads of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, high-level managers of major corporations and companies such as Traxys, FLSmidth, McKinsey, Meta, Google, Amazon, Boeing, Air Products, Axiom Space, Cove Capital, Freeport-McMoRan, Orion CMC, Cargill Cotton, John Deere, Honeywell, Valmont Industries, and Flowserve Corporation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Leader of Uzbekistan noted that over the past 8 years, the trade turnover with the USA has quadrupled, and more than 300 US companies are successfully operating in Uzbekistan.

The President of our country emphasized that the current level of interaction is the beginning of a new stage that opens up broad prospects for joint work. It was noted that specific areas of economic cooperation and new joint initiatives will be discussed at the upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump.

In his speech, the head of our state outlined the priority areas of strategic partnership between the two countries.
By 2030, a new renewable energy system with a capacity of 18-20 gigawatts will be created in Uzbekistan, more than half of the electricity will be generated from solar and wind energy.

In this sense, Uzbekistan and the USA will develop the extraction and deep processing of uranium, copper, tungsten, molybdenum, and graphite. It is planned to create reliable supply chains and introduce advanced US processing technologies.

In addition, a large-scale program for the modernization of roads and railways, terminals, and airports is being implemented. By 2030, it is planned to allocate more than 12 billion dollars for the development of transport infrastructure.

Digital cooperation with American companies Google, Meta, and NVIDIA is expanding. These include the implementation of Apple Pay and Google Pay payment systems, the creation of a network of Digital Academies and startup hubs.
DFC Corporation and the U.S. Eximbank will be involved in promoting and financially supporting such projects.

In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his readiness to personally support the investment initiatives of American companies, emphasizing that Uzbekistan will remain a reliable partner and a guarantee of success for foreign investors.
