The press service of the Tashkent Metro provided a comment regarding the congestion of passengers at the "Paxtakor" metro station. It was noted that this situation was widely discussed on social media.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred between 18:20 and 18:50, when the passenger flow sharply increased. Within this period, trains from both directions arrived in a short timeframe, and most passengers planned to transfer to another line.
Officials stated that to promptly resolve such situations, additional reserve trains were put into operation on all routes. As a result, congestion is usually eliminated within 3-4 minutes.
It is also worth noting that recently, the demand for the metro has increased significantly. Passengers are choosing the metro over buses and minibuses.
