Hajj-2026: new rules for Uzbek pilgrims
On November 9 of this year, a meeting was held between the delegation of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia regarding the organization of the "Hajj-2026" season. The meeting was attended by Deputy Advisor to the President Muzaffar Qamolov, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Sodiq Toshboyev, Mufti Shaykh Nuriddin Xoliqnazar, Attache Shuxrat Amoniy, as well as the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yusuf Al-Utaybi.

At the beginning of the meeting, it was noted that the multi-faceted relations between the President of Uzbekistan and the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, are yielding high results, the exchange of delegations is increasing, and the highest level of services is being provided to pilgrims. During the negotiations, the newly introduced rules and regulations for the upcoming season were discussed, specifically measures aimed at ensuring the safety of pilgrims.

Particular attention was paid to strictly adhering to medical requirements, preparing documents on time, fulfilling contractual obligations, and complying with the rules during the Hajj period. The Minister of Hajj and Umrah highly valued the reforms being implemented in the field of Hajj and Umrah under the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as scientific research, creative work, and the discipline of pilgrims.

Additionally, he expressed his intention to participate in the opening ceremonies of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the Imam Bukhari Complex in Samarkand. The meeting also discussed pilgrimage tourism, organizing tours across ancient cities of our country, scientific research, and matters of cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on a number of issues and exchanged commemorative gifts.
