
During the telephone conversation, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of further deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the President.
During the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin discussed ways to implement the agreements reached at the highest level between the two countries and take them to a new level.
The Presidents emphasized the need to maintain stable trade turnover, deepen cooperation in priority sectors of the economy, and accelerate joint projects, especially in the energy sector. The development of business ties between the regions and the expansion of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere were also noted as one of the main areas.
During the conversation, it was noted with satisfaction that the second meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia, held on October 22 in the Moscow region, was organized at a high level and its results were comprehensively effective.
The importance of the successful holding of the next meeting of the Uzbek-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on December 3 and the planned joint business forum within its framework was also noted.
The Presidents also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of joint events for the near future.
It was reported that the dialogue was held in a productive and friendly atmosphere.
