The official names of 130 rivers and lakes have been updated

In accordance with the government decree, the official names of 130 water bodies located throughout the country have been re-approved in the state language. The list includes rivers and streams, lakes, springs, waterfalls, and reservoirs.

In this regard, a number of hydronyms have also been updated: Sassiqsoy is now called Sho'rsuv, the Gaiston flood reservoir is called Yangiqo'rg'on, and Jinnidaryo is called Zog'atasoy. These changes were implemented to standardize mapping and official data.

Previously, the names of 320 railway facilities were also adapted to the requirements of the state language. Now it's time to organize the names of mountains, peaks, passes, and caves.
