Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva, at a working meeting with the heads of the country’s law enforcement structures, announced that a new stage has begun in combating drug trafficking and crime related to it. At the meeting, existing threats were analyzed and the need to strengthen rapid cooperation mechanisms to eliminate the problem was noted.
According to the information, the circulation of narcotic substances, the activity of criminal groups and the illegal circulation of weapons have in recent years become one of the areas causing serious concern. Mirziyoyeva demanded from responsible leaders to establish a system that will give concrete results in this direction.
At the meeting, the task was set to create, in a short period of time, a coordinated, effective and fast-operating unified mechanism for combating drug-related crime. It was also emphasized that it is important to strengthen information exchange between law enforcement bodies, coordination of operations and preventive measures.
According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, the state’s policy in this area provides for an uncompromising approach to any form of crime. The new measures will be an important step in ensuring public safety and protecting the national interests of the state.
