A traffic management center, operating on the basis of modern technologies, has been created in Tashkent, which will radically update the transport system. This center, which began its activities in accordance with the presidential decree, will act as the main operator of the capital's intelligent transport system. The goal is the complete digitalization of traffic management and modernization of urban infrastructure at the global level by February 1, 2027.
One of the most important innovations is that vehicles that do not match the color of the environmental sticker will be automatically restricted from entering designated zones. This will not only improve the environmental situation, but will also be of great importance in preventing traffic jams in the city center.
The new center will operate in the following areas:
- constant monitoring of transport, pedestrian and passenger traffic throughout the city;
- preparation of documents on the development of road transport infrastructure based on best international practices;
- Formation of a complete transport database and master plan of Tashkent;
- coordination of the activities of organizations in all road and transport spheres;
- making public transport attractive, reducing the use of personal vehicles, and improving the environmental situation;
- creation of multi-story parking lots on the overground metro, overpasses, and main intersections;
- observance of traffic rules, improvement of road culture and promotion of safety.
In addition, until the end of 2028, a number of powers of ministries and agencies will be temporarily transferred to this center as a legal experiment.
And the intelligent transport system includes modern technologies. The new network analyzes traffic in real time through video surveillance cameras, sensors, and automated traffic light control. If special services - ambulance, fire safety, traffic police - deviate from the schedule, priority will be given to them.
The movement of vehicles, cargo transportation rules, weight and volume standards will be under constant control. In addition, the system will be connected to the Situational Center of the Ecology Committee, and vehicles that do not meet the environmental category will be automatically identified.
At the same time, points with a high risk of injuries and road accidents are identified, and practical recommendations for their reduction are developed. Target indicators for the development of the Tashkent transport system until 2030 have also been approved.

These reforms not only reduce traffic congestion but also aim to transform the capital into a more comfortable, safe, and environmentally sustainable city. This system opens a new, modern, and convenient stage for all road users.
