Shavkat Mirziyoyev Holds Talks with Paraguayan President in Tashkent

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Santiago Peña, the President of Paraguay, in Tashkent on December 11.

Prospects for further strengthening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay were discussed. It was emphasized that this summit marks the beginning of a new era in the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

The discussions focused on priority areas for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and economy, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, education, and other sectors.

Special attention was given to increasing mutual trade, fostering business relations, and implementing joint projects in agriculture, the food and chemical industries, digitalization, tourism, and sports.

Opinions were also exchanged on pressing issues on the international and regional agenda.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing political dialogue and deepening practical cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.
