
The press service of the Ministry of Health released оперативные data for the first day of the year. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
According to the report, as of 17:00 on January 1 (Tashkent time), a total of 1,094 births were registered in Uzbekistan. Of them, 539 were boys and 555 were girls.
By region, the highest figure was recorded in Fergana Region, where 138 babies were born. It was followed by Surkhandarya (135), Samarkand (125), Kashkadarya (121) and Namangan (110) regions.
The lowest number of births was observed in Syrdarya Region — only 19 babies.
According to the ministry, among the newborns there were 15 sets of twins, 1 set of triplets and 1 set of quadruplets. In total, these multiple births accounted for 37 children.
Figures for the same period in previous years were also provided: 1,111 in 2020, 1,086 in 2021, 1,448 in 2022, 1,312 in 2023, 1,043 in 2024 and 1,040 babies in 2025.
