Train ticket prices in Uzbekistan are increasing by 15 percent

In Uzbekistan, prices for passenger railway transportation services are being increased. According to JSC “Uzbekistan Railways”, starting from February 1, 2026, ticket prices for certain trains, including the high-speed “Afrosiyob” electric trains, will rise by 15 percent.
It is noted that this decision is linked to the increase in maintenance costs, rising prices of spare parts, higher electricity and operational expenses. The need to fully ensure traffic safety, maintain service quality at international standards, and regularly modernize infrastructure has also been taken into account.
According to the updated tariffs, ticket prices for “Afrosiyob” trains are set as follows:
Tashkent — Bukhara
VIP: 1,138,000 soums
Business: 760,000 soums
Economy: 509,000 soums
