It was announced that train ticket prices will increase from February 1

“Uzbekiston Temiryollari” JSC announced that starting February 1, ticket prices for a number of domestic passenger trains will increase. According to the official statement, fares for the high-speed “Afrosiyob” electric trains, as well as the “Sharq”, “Nasaf”, and “Uzbekiston” passenger trains, will go up by 15%.
The company explained the decision by several factors: higher costs for maintenance and spare parts for high-speed electric trains, as well as increased electricity and operating expenses. It also cited the need to fully ensure traffic safety, maintain service quality in line with international standards, preserve and continuously modernize rail infrastructure, and provide better service to passengers.
