In the updated Global Firepower Index ranking, the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan ranked 53rd among 145 countries. The specialists who compiled the ranking evaluate the armies based on more than 60 indicators: defense costs, technical support, the number of personnel, tanks, aircraft, ships, logistics, resources, geography, and other important factors are included in this list.
Interestingly, Uzbekistan took first place in Central Asia. Among the neighbors, Kazakhstan ranked 58th, Turkmenistan 78th, Tajikistan 100th, Kyrgyzstan 109th, and Afghanistan 121st.
In the context of the countries of the former USSR, Uzbekistan also showed a high result: in the general list, it ranks third, that is, only after the Russian (2nd place) and Ukrainian (20th place) armies.
In the top 10 of the world ranking, the following countries are listed as leaders:
1. USA
2. Russia
3. China
4. India
5. South Korea
6. France
7. Japan
8. Great Britain
9. Turkey
10. Italy
The conclusion is this: the figures do not mean "everything is great," but the trend is not bad - Uzbekistan maintains its position in the region. Now the most important thing is not a place in the rating, but real training, continuous improvement of technology and personnel quality.
