Uzbekistan completes evacuation of citizens from Qatar

The Embassy of Uzbekistan has successfully facilitated the departure of the final group of its citizens from Qatar. On March 13-14, a group of 96 individuals traveled by bus from Doha to Dubai, from where they boarded a flight to Tashkent. This operation marks the conclusion of a coordinated effort to bring home nationals who expressed a desire to leave the country.
In total, 548 Uzbek citizens have been evacuated from Qatar through a collaborative initiative between the embassy and the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation. The evacuees primarily consisted of tourists, students, and individuals who were in the country for temporary employment. The transit routes for these citizens were organized through Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
This latest mission is part of a broader government effort to ensure the safety of Uzbek nationals in the Middle East. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of March 13, a total of 32,934 Uzbek citizens have been safely returned home since the escalation of regional military tensions. The government continues to monitor the situation closely to provide necessary assistance to its citizens abroad.
