In particular, starting April 1, tour operators will be allocated a subsidy of up to 5 thousand dollars from the state budget for every 1 thousand foreign tourists attracted for three months. Also, half of the value-added tax will be refunded in the form of "cashback."
50 foreign bloggers with more than 5 million followers on social networks will be provided with a free seven-day tour package for visiting Uzbekistan.
Expenses related to promoting travel to Uzbekistan on the world's largest online travel platforms will also be covered.
The importance of holding tours of at least 5 world-renowned artists, as well as 10 business forums and a fashion festival in Samarkand this year, was emphasized.
At the same time, it was noted that there are all possibilities for transforming Samarkand into a scientific center for holding Olympiads, forums, and scientific conferences in exact and natural sciences.
For example, about 10,000 people from more than one hundred countries have already expressed their desire to participate in the International Astronautical Congress, which will be held in Samarkand in 2028.
Specialists were instructed to develop special programs in cooperation with international organizations in this area.
As a result of these opportunities, the goal has been set to attract 6 million tourists to Samarkand by the end of the year.
