Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, on a working visit. The head of state will participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
At Hazrat Sultan International Airport, the Uzbek leader was welcomed by Kazakhstan's State Counselor Yerlan Karin, Turkistan Region Governor Nuralxan Kusherov, and other officials. It is noted that the ceremony was organized in a warm and high-level manner.

It is reported that an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States will take place in Turkistan today. This meeting is expected to serve as an important platform for further strengthening cooperation among Turkic states, expanding regional ties, and exchanging views on pressing issues.
Such dialogues within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States have been instrumental in taking political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations to a new level in recent years. Summits attended by heads of state, in particular, strengthen cooperation based on mutual trust, brotherhood, and common interests.

Turkistan hosting this summit is no coincidence. The city holds a special place for the Turkic world in historical, cultural, and spiritual terms. Therefore, a program for summit participants to visit historical monuments and cultural sites in Turkistan is also planned.
Such events allow for not only official negotiations but also a deeper appreciation of shared history, cultural heritage, and the spiritual closeness between brotherly peoples. In this sense, Turkistan is emerging as one of the symbolic centers uniting the Turkic world.
In short, Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Turkistan and his participation in the summit are a continuation of Uzbekistan's consistent policy aimed at further developing multifaceted cooperation with Turkic states. The meeting in Turkistan is expected to become another important platform for dialogue among brotherly nations.
