Hamas released Israeli soldier Agam Berger
HAMAS released Israeli soldier Agam Berger, who was taken hostage at the Nahal Oz military base on October 7, 2023. He was held captive for 482 days and has now been handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza.

Several other hostages are expected to be released. In particular, 29-year-old Arbel Yahud and 80-year-old Gadi Moshe Moses may be released. There is also a possibility that five Thai citizens who were taken hostage on October 7 will be released. This process is considered the result of negotiations between the Thai government and Hamas.

As part of the prisoner exchange, Israel is set to release 110 Palestinian prisoners, including 30 minors.

It should be noted that Hamas failed to release Arbel Yahud in the last exchange of prisoners on January 25. In response, the Israeli government decided not to allow Gazans to return to the north of the enclave. Hamas later promised to release Arbel Yahud in the coming days.
