In Pakistan, a father shot and killed his daughter for posting a video on TikTok

A Pakistani national shot and killed his 14-year-old daughter for posting her videos on the social network TikTok, the Express Tribune reported, citing police.

According to police, the case was initially considered an unsolved crime because the girl's father had filed a police complaint naming unknown individuals as suspects. However, after an investigation and collecting evidence from the crime scene, the police became suspicious of the family members.

"The killing of a 14-year-old Pakistani-American girl in Quetta led to the arrest of her father and uncle. They confessed to planning the murder because of the girl's use of social media," the report said.

The girl was reportedly shot dead near her home and died on the way to the hospital. Police say the girl's father was helped by a relative.

During the investigation, police found that the family had lived in the United States for almost 28 years before coming to Pakistan. The girl's father was unhappy with her activity on TikTok and other social media, but the girl refused to stop her online activities. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
