Russian Ministry of Defense: Ukraine tried to launch an attack in the Kursk region

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on the morning of February 6, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to launch a large-scale offensive in the Kursk region.

According to the ministry's statement, the Ukrainian army attempted to launch a counterattack in the direction of the settlements of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok. Two mechanized battalions with armored vehicles participated in the attack.

The attacked areas are located near the city of Sudzha, which is the center of the district currently under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry reports that the Ukrainian army has suffered heavy losses in this direction.

Previously, a number of Z-channels and Russian military correspondents reported that fierce battles are taking place in the Kursk region. According to them, fierce clashes are observed southeast of Sudzha.
