Donald Trump revealed the name of a country that is hostile to the United States
US President Donald Trump called Venezuela an enemy and said he does not want American companies to continue buying oil from it.

"We put Venezuela in a difficult situation. It seemed like everything would be fine," Trump said on Tuesday, speaking about the introduction of large-scale sanctions against Caracas during his first presidential term. "And then [previous US President Joe] Biden came in and, as always, ruined everything. Under him, they started buying oil [from Venezuela] <...> for billions of dollars," the current American leader added while signing new decrees at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

"Why did they turn to the enemy and give them billions and billions of dollars?" Trump emphasized, assuring that such a decision would not have been made under his rule. "We are dealing with this issue," he added, emphasizing that such deals were not necessary, since the US has sufficient oil reserves. "We're looking at that whole situation, why he [Biden] did it," Trump repeated, making it clear that he intends to find out what motivated the previous Washington administration.

When asked if he intends to allow American companies, including Chevron, to continue buying oil from Venezuela, Trump replied: "Maybe not. We're looking at that right now."
