China is abandoning Boeing - a consequence of economic war?
The Chinese government has ordered airlines not to buy Boeing aircraft and spare parts made in the United States, Bloomberg.com reported. This decision was made in response to Washington's imposition of a 145% tariff on Chinese goods.

Beijing, in turn, announced a 125% tariff on American products. As a result, the price of Boeing aircraft is increasing by up to two times. According to experts, this is becoming an economically disadvantageous purchase for China.

State support is being discussed for airlines that lease Boeing aircraft. Large operators such as Air China and China Southern were supposed to add Boeing 737 MAX models to their fleets, but all deals may be suspended once the tariffs come into effect.

Boeing warned that this situation could seriously affect supply chains.
